How this directory works

Where the data comes from

Every company record is drawn from the Companies House public register through the official API, filtered to the SIC codes that automation, integration and implementation work is registered under. The data is Crown copyright and is reproduced under the Open Government Licence.

Nothing on this site is scraped from another directory. No listing, review or description is copied from a third-party site.

What is a fact and what is a claim

Company name, number, status, incorporation date and registered office are official register facts, shown with the date they were retrieved.

Anything a company says about itself is shown in a separate block, marked Self-declared, with the name of who submitted it and when. OurIdea.ai does not independently verify those statements, and says so on the page rather than in the small print.

There is no compliance badge, no rating, no price range and no tech stack unless the company supplied one. Where something is unknown the page says Not stated. It never guesses.

Claiming, correcting or removing your entry

Email directory@ouridea.ai from an address on the company's own domain, quoting the company number.

• Claim: add your own description and the tools you work with. It appears as your statement, dated.
• Correct: register facts are corrected at Companies House, not here, and flow through on the next refresh. Anything else we fix directly.
• Remove: say so and the entry is suppressed on the next build, no reason needed.

How often it updates

A scheduled job re-reads the register every day and rebuilds the site only when something has actually changed. Newly incorporated companies appear, dissolved ones drop out, and status changes are reflected within a day.

Why it exists

OurIdea.ai builds abi. Clone, a free tool that maps how a business actually runs before it automates anything. This directory is published because the two questions sit next to each other: what does my business actually do, and who could help me change it. It is free to be listed and free to claim an entry.
